| Brownstone Barrio Bards was created by Rochelle Robinson-Dukes in 2001 at Olive-Harvey College. It is in its seventh edition. It is a collection of poems by writers from the south side of Chicago. It is the second periodical created by Rochelle Robinson-Dukes. Her first was Black Awareness Magazine (BAM) which she founded in 1998 at Bradley University, Peoria, IL. and still exists today. Professor Robinson-Dukes teaches literature, English Composition, and reading at Olive-Harvey College. She hopes to extend Brownstone Barrio Bards' (B cubed) readership and contributors. |
